Post by Candy » Tue May 01, 2018 10:47 am

Hi,

Just wanting to let you know about an event that I am currently organising with some colleagues, which may be of interest to some of you.

North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare is pleased to announce their second annual Aspiring Clinical Psychologist conference. This conference will help to develop the skills required for working within Clinical Psychology and for the Clinical Doctorate.

The event is open to anyone aged 16 or over, with an interest in pursuing a career in Clinical Psychology. The event is tailored to suit those new to clinical psychology including students and those who are currently working in relevant jobs within healthcare, social care, research or as assistant psychologists. The day will host parallel workshops, so you can choose which workshops will be most beneficial for you. The workshops will help to develop core skills required to pursue the career and preparation for the Clinical Doctorate Course. Please see the agenda for a description of the workshops on offer. During the breaks there will be the opportunity to chat to our Clinicians, Trainees and Service Users to find out more about this profession and training.

Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day, please note there will be no lunch provided so please bring this with you, alternatively there are places nearby for you to purchase lunch.

Tickets are available for £30 (+ Booking Fee), and there are a limited number of student reduced rate tickets for full time students are £25 (+ Booking Fee). There are limited places available for this event so book early to avoid disappointment.
