Re: UEL 2016

Hi all, A meet up sounds fab, would be lovely to know a few faces before starting in September :D 19th July sounds good, and I'd also prefer to stay more central if possible. It's all feeling very real now! Ditto! Would love to meet up on 19th and somewhere central would be great. Looking forward t...

Re: UEL 2016

Oh wait - there is the email, in my junk folder - great, that's where I like to file all my important correspondence! And yes to meeting up on the 19th - I live in East London so wouldn't mind scoping out a venue? Hi VioletBee, Sorry I've confused myself - was the email in your junk folder about Fe...

Re: UEL 2016

Hi all, I will also be joining the UEL cohort in September and really forward to meeting everyone! I'm not currently living in London but I would be keen to meet on 19th July if something is arranged.

Also has anyone else had difficulty opening the link in the Fees Assessment form?

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Hey fellow UEL applicants ^^^ I think that's emails out. I've been offered a reserve place which I really wasn't expecting as I felt the interview whizzed by and afterwards I thought of so many things I should have said. Good luck, I hope it's a positive outcome for you.

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Thanks for the info, that's really helpful to know. Stats really isn't my strong point either, I feel like my evenings over the next week will be spent frantically trying to relearn everything!

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hey guys,

Congratulations to those who have heard and good luck to those still waiting to hear!
My interview is on the Monday, I think the initial excitement quickly turned into blind fear so you're not the only one feeling unprepared PolkaDot!

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hey Polkadot, I had the same issue, I was only able to upload my transcript and I got an email from Dundee uni yesterday about 'outstanding documentation' asking that I send University Qualification Award Certificates to contactus@dundee.ac.uk, quoting my student ID number. Hope that helps! Also Mif...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Perfect, thanks for the clarification! I've been trawling through the search function and was getting a bit confused. Most people say that you might need a letter from the BPS/ your undergrad uni stating your course is accredited.

Thanks again!

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hi Sazza, I'm doing the same, booking time off in advance as I'd rather not have to phone in sick just in case I do get an interview! On the webpage that had the NHS forms http://www.dundee.ac.uk/postgraduate/information/ptpc_forms.htm it says: The interviews will be held 30th September to 2nd Octob...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

My NHS answers and personal statements are pretty similar- to the point that a couple of phrases might actually be directly repeated oops! I'm hoping it'll be okay as the personal statement goes to the Uni admissions, and I think the NHS health boards only see the NHS form. Anyway it's the final pus...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hey Polkadot, glad to see I'm not the only person getting confused! My understanding is that your referees fill out the NHS form and send this to Karen Forbes, and they also write a paragraph (or maybe just use the text from the second page of the NHS form :) ) and email this to the Postgrad office ...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hi shadowfox,

Thanks for your help. I've not received my references back yet and not sure they will arrive in time for Friday's UKPASS deadline but they will definitely be in by September. I hate chasing up referees, it's often more stressful than the application itself!!
Thanks again

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2014

Hi guys, I am currently completing my application and just a bit confused about the references for the UKPASS form. I know it says that 'Your application may not be processed by the institution until references have been received' but does that mean that we need to attach references to UKPASS form/p...

Re: Is 3 months too soon to switch roles in an organisation?

Thank you so much for your replies and advice. I have decided to apply, initially I thought I would be 'letting down' my manager by applying for something so soon but I think you are right that it's important to progress and of course, I may not even get an interview so I can worry about the details...

Is 3 months too soon to switch roles in an organisation?

Hi everyone, I am a recent Psychology graduate and have been working as a support worker for about 12 weeks now. I really enjoy the work that I am doing but I have now seen a vacancy for a Guided Self Help position, which is being in advertised in another department of the same charity. So essential...
