Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. Emotionally stirred up about the changes in my life at the moment 2. Enjoying re-prioritizing and re-shaping my life 3. Wish I was one step further ahead than I am right now 4. Looking forward to reading a turn-pager, fiction book from cover to cover 5. I plan to spend an entire day watching a bo...

Re: Ask me anything!

Here are some more questions: What do you think CP will look like in 5 and in 10 years time? Would you recommend your child/niece/nephew to pursue CP if they were 16/17 years old? Do you see a future for the band 7/8a 'jobbing' CP? Is there a particular model/approach/theory you would like to see el...

Re: Do I have right experience for PWP/assistant psychologis

Ditto. You might or might not get an AP/RA/PWP post at the moment but there is never any guarantee and you have enough experience for it to be realistic to apply. Hone an application, making it as reflective as possible. Then start applying, honing the application to each individual job. Look out fo...

Re: HCPC Standards Review - Have Your Say Please!

Sent a response. For anyone else considering responding.... - Its a short document - On page 8 there is a list of different ways to respond: it can be as simple as sending an e-mail or completing a survey - You don't have to be qualified to respond - they are asking for the view of any stakeholders ...

You could try contacting the regional office of the Open University and they can often arrange a reference for you including all the important factual information. They also have some usual blurb to show the skills developed through distance learning and demonstrating what an achievement can this be...

Hello,

I would like to join. I'm replying quite late in the process as I wanted to fully consider whether I could realistically devote time to this before I signed up.

Re: Dropping out/Quitting doctorate - does it happen?

Hi, As you’ve heard from other people it is rare but not unknown for people to leave training. I have met someone who has and they are living a full life and have an interesting career in the field and their experience of some of the clinical psychology is viewed as an asset. You are certainly not a...

Re: Help! PWP Assessment advice needed please

Hi, Really sorry to hear about the assessment. As you've already realised you're not the first PWP trainee to need to re-take and you won't be the next. Your performance in one assessment isn't necessarily a reflection of your skills and it sounds like you were near the pass mark. Your mind is bound...

Re: AP in IAPT?

You might want to revise: - what is IAPT, it's remit, what it doesn't do - look at the job advert and job description and if they include stats then revise it - CBT ( if you'd be seeing clients in the role) - the stepped care model (and where IAPT fits in) - anything you can find out about the speci...
