Re: Long waiting times to hear result of interview

I had an interview in September and only found out the outcome now! (In between that time I actually got offered another unrelated job) but about 3 weeks after the interview I rang HR and found out they had actually put a hold on sending outcome letters out - not 100% sure of the reason but the lett...

Re: how long do I have to struggle on a low wage

Only advice I can give, from someone who is in pretty much the same position along with a whole lot of others, is to hang in there! Let's face it, it sucks I hate it at times myself. What I would say is only do the Masters if it is what you really want to do/are interested in and you will get a lot ...

Work After Clinical Course

Hi Alice N. Ireland's course at QUB (not sure if you were referring to the whole of Ireland or just the south) has a contract - however that could change this year but that was the case last year when I Had an interview. It also has this on their website: "The Course is a joint enterprise between th...

I might be a bit late on this but https://www.futurelearn.com/courses/mental-health-and-well-being Thank you for the link! That looks like a very interesting course. Are you currently enrolled? What do you think about it so far? Thanks for this also, I just enrolled and have started it - I really l...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. Annoyed at myself for ranting so much at times  like wanting to be somewhere, have something or wanting something to happen right now instead of being more patient and persistent - things test you at times but trying to learn to get away from this 2. Last night went to an event nothing rela...

Re: Application Form and Older Candidates

I can't relate to the older candidate part of this but last year I applied for the first time - I remember feeling the same for a bit like I haven't ever filled in a form, I don't know any CPs directly or well enough to get help, I am going to be awful at writing this etc....but then i just decided ...

Re: Anxiety literature

Hi Dragos Not sure what you are asking/looking for specifically... Is it access to articles by those authors? Or are you asking what you should be looking for...? Perhaps a book would be somewhere to start? e.g. the handbook of adult clinical psychology (or the child one)? They give different theori...

Re: Educational Psychology

RossPsych Thanks so much for your reply and insights/advice :) Very helpful as I don't know much about it. Also thought I would ask, would you or anyone else recommend something I could read, like a core book on Educational Psychology and more about the EP role as you mentioned, or is the BPS or ano...
