Re: Self-employed work as a Clinical Psychologist
Thank you both for your really helpful and detailed replies. Definitely a lot to consider. It's interesting to hear about how areas have changed - I wonder what the future holds! It's difficult because it would be really helpful to have a little guidance on the course about the practical challenges ...

Self-employed work as a Clinical Psychologist
Hi all, I'm currently a DClinPsy Trainee and have noticed in my placements (particularly IAPT) that many CBT therapists and CPs work some additional hours each week as part of their own private practice. I currently don't have a specialised interest area and am looking forward to further placements ...

BABCP CBT accreditation during DClinPsy
Hi all, I will be starting the DClinPsy this september (yay!!) and am intrigued to know people's views on some courses offering a BABCP CBT pathway within the course? I understand that for psychologists that hope to go on to work in IAPT this may be beneficial however I can't see the need and releva...

Lost UEL invitation to interview letter
Hi all, I'm currently moving house and have somehow managed to misplace my DClinPsy UEL invitation to interview letter! I had luckily taken a photo on my phone of the timings and the date. I'm wondering if someone would be kind enough to let me know here/private message me with the rest of the detai...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy
I think in the past there has been much speculation about the disappearing box! I think the conclusion was that it doesn't necessarily mean the course has shortlisted.Constructionist87 wrote:I can no longer withdraw from Cov & Warwick now on the clearing house site.
Would that suggest results are out today?

Re: course shortlisting dates 2017
I know that in the past Southampton have let applicants know around the deadline date but their interviews are earlier this year (beginning of April) so I'm hoping they let us know sooner rather than later! Anyone have any info about this?

Re: PWP salary and progression?
Hi,
I have worked as an AP in the NHS for 3 years and therefore am on the third increment of band 4. If I were to start PWP training, would I go back to the first point of band 4 or as it is still in the NHS, would I be able to keep my increment date and thus go to the 4th increment of band 4?
