Re: PWP NHS application help needed

Hello I’m curious to know if you hold the PWP pgcert? The reason I ask is when I put out our qualified PWP posts, I get a few people apply who don’t have the certificate even though it is listed as essential. Those who apply without it are often incredibly experienced but can not be invited to inter...

Re: Help...NHS first or University first?

Yeah that's still the way

You'll find vacancies listed through nhs website and some mental health charities will have their own trainee pwp vacancies listed on their websites so keep a look out for any in your area. You then gain a place on the course via successful interview

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh

I'm not too sure yet, I live in Manchester so I'm about 30 mins away and a good hour away from ljmu. I think I'll have to get a coach to Liverpool and I was told there will probably be a 2 week block initially at uni, so that will be the cheapest. I'm not too sure whether to drive or get the train t...

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh

Hi guys,

Just had a call saying they have secured funding for a few extra places
Starting date is 13th April and uni start date is 27th April. However the base is now whiston rather than Wigan… which is far for me to go but I can't turn it down! X

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh

Hi Louise,

The post in question will involve studying at John moores too! Have you been told what day of the week you will be studying there?

Also which service/trust are too doing your training through?

Re: Trainee PWP interview - wigan/leigh

I thought it was the hardest interview I've had yet for this role! I was unsuccessful for the post with 5 boroughs last year, so I thought I had an idea of what to expect..... I was wrong! One of the questions that caught me off guard was being asked to give 2 examples of issues/problems that might ...

Re: experience for PWP

Hi, although it is great experience, i'd be a bit wary about putting it on an application, as they tend to want details of experience, that they can check up on with a reference or else people could put anything on an application. If your are successful in interviews, I'm sure they would love to hea...
