Essex PWP trainee course Sept 2016

Hi, I've just been offered a position on the 2016 trainee PWP course at Essex university starting in September 2016, just wondering if anyone else is starting too?

Re: Turned down interviews

I have just been offered an interview at Salomons (I was 1st reserve) so the list has finally started to move.

Good luck to all others waiting!

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Thought I would wait until all of mine were out: Herts Surrey UEA Salomons (1st reserve) Second application, feeling really disappointed as felt my application was strong this year. Fingers crossed for Salomons though, hopeful being first reserve I at least have a chance at interview, they say it on...

Re: Reflections on 4th application and not on training

Thank you for your response astra. I actually currently work in a team of 11 Clinical Psychologists (we are all located in the same building also, so lots of regular contact and I am supervised by 5 of them!) and I am the only AP in this service. I'm very privileged in that I am surrounded by people...

Re: Reflections on 4th application and not on training

Thank you astra and workingmama for your posts. It is reassuring to see that that has been lots of success from people that may have taken a less ‘typical’ avenue to becoming a CP. I am very much in the same situation as confuseddotcom. I have just turned 28, did lots of voluntary work during my und...

Re: Surrey Selection Test 2016

Maybe they've just had big admin errors, I've been invited to both also and there is no mention of multiple choice tests... but some people also got on their initial invite a test time of 50 minutes, whereas I had 45 minutes then a correction email. I hope they sort themselves out a bit because it's...

Re: Surrey Selection Test 2016

That's so odd, my invite definitely says 45minutes. Maybe they've realised that 45 minutes is a bit tight!

Re: Surrey selection test previous two years not this year?

I have been invited to Surrey and I got a mid-2:1, perhaps it was something else on the requirements that you have not met/demosntrated on your form? I'm not sure!

Re: Surrey Selection Test 2016

6pm sounds good to me. Would it make sense to start with 2015 and work backwards.. only because the structure has been the same the last 3 years and prior to that it was slightly different, therefore I just think the more recent exams will be more like what we will have to take next week (if we are ...
