Clinical Psychology for Trainees 2011 print versus new 2014 version

Wanting some advice on this if anyone has any! :) I'm planning to apply for the doctorate this year and to prepare I'd like to buy the above book. However, it's about £40 on Amazon, which I can't afford, and about £36 on Wordery, which is again too pricey; a second hand copy of the old edition is av...

PG Certificate Low Intensity CBT Interview

So I wondered if anyone had any knowledge of this. I got offered a trainee PWP post. I now have to have a brief (20 min) interview for the PG certificate. The service lead said this was a formality as I have a BA and MSci and it was just for the University to check eligibility for the course, but th...

Typical IAPT Interviews

I was just wondering, does any one have any pointers to the types of questions asked in a typical LI PWP interview? I know there are a few threads floating around on this but I was wondering if anyone had had a recent interview and could give a rough outline of what to expect. Thanks! :)

Re: Declaration of MH-Related Problems in an Application

The particular things I mentioned were some OCD symptoms that I managed using self-help CBT (i.e. nothing too debilitating/nothing that warranted accessing services in my case). The main point of sharing was to show understanding/skills in this area that were relevant to the job. This was in an appl...

Declaration of MH-Related Problems in an Application

I was wondering what people thought of this one. I recently wrote an application in which I declared using CBT techniques with myself in order to overcome OCD-related problems. I wrote it in order to express how highly I thought of CBT/why I really wanted the job/level of understanding of CBT. My pa...
