Another reserve interview place for Manchester. They are unable to disclose your position on the list so no idea how close I am!

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
First time applying Essex Hertfordshire Manchester UCL I've emailed Essex and I'm number 45 on the reserve interview list. At first I thought it was a mistake as I didn't realise the reserve lists can be that lengthy, especially for a course that only has 11 places! Safe to say I can rule that one o...

Partner of NHS?
Hi, I have been invited to an AP interview at a rehabilitation hospital, quite similar to what I am doing now. The company are independent but are a partner of the NHS - I applied via the NHS jobs website. What exactly does it mean to be a partner of the NHS? I would have to travel 4.5 hours for the...

Re: Trainee Mental Health Workers in London
Yay!
Congratulations guys!
I'll be moving too from Peterborough if I'm successful.. not as far as you Hina! It seems like it'd be quite difficult living in London on such a small wage but I've always said that I'd love to and the clinical experience looks great!

Yes I heard back from them yesterday. I've been invited to an interview on the 24th. It was via email, so it's worth keeping an eye on yours!

Re: Trainee Mental Health Workers in London
Hi everyone,
Has anyone heard from the Trainee Mental Health Worker post for Jan 2017 start? I was told that they would start sending out updates through NHS jobs this week.

Hi everyone, I graduated a year ago, and since, I have been working towards gaining experience. I feel I am now ready/desperate for an AP post, but it has proved a difficult process! Would any current/past Assistant Psychologists or Clinical Psychologists be happy to go through my supporting stateme...

Re: Need some advice please: hate support work
I'd just like to say thank you to everyone for their replies. I have taken on board everything that you have all been saying, explained that it wasn't for me before giving notice, and had my last day as a support worker for that company a week ago. I have straight away found a job as a 'Student Supp...

Need some advice please: hate support work
A month ago, I started a Support Worker role in a residential care home for adults with Autism, and I hate it. One day last week I had my hair pulled harder and harder where the resident would not let go, and the next day a resident scratched my face, tried to bite me and pulled and bit my top. As w...

Hi, I have applied for a couple of assistant psychologist posts, and been rejected. The most recent one being to a post as an AP in secure accommodation for young female adolescents from difficult backgrounds, which is a post I had my hopes up for. I have a very strong academic background, but not s...

Presenting at conference undergraduate level
Hi, I am a final year undergraduate Psychology student just just finished my final exam, which marks the end of my degree. My supervisor believes my dissertation could get 95% and is trying to help me publish it in a journal. However, he also awarded me the same mark for my dissertation presentation...
