Re: 2020 Clinical Doctorate Application Progress Thread

Also, why would they send out the email that early? Ruthless. Er, don't know. One guess could be because UCL and most univeristies are on strike for pay & equality + pensions today (and this week)? So many staff aren't working and they are still doing their best to let you know despite these condit...

Experience prior to being accepted onto a RA position?

Hey guys. I haven't really had trouble getting interviews to RA positions in the past, but every time I've been sent away saying I don't have enough "clinical experience". So I have the academic qualifications (First, Distinction, BPS award). I also have experience volunteering as a RA during my BSc...

Re: Assistant Psychologist Interview at Memory Clinic

I think I attended the same interview today. Didn't get in unfortunately! I was very appreciative getting a phone call so soon after the interview, even if it was a no! They gave great feedback!

Hope you did well!

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

:) Congratulations! I sort of turtled away from this thread a bit after my failed interview back in May. I am honestly happy with the outcome. I am glad to see people who don't get in the first try, or have to try to get in for many years. That shows you that it's a career worth getting into. It mea...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Rejected. Oh well: it was my first ever interview and I'm only 23. I would feel a bit cheap getting offered a place with so many people spending years to get in. I felt one of my two interviews went amazingly, but the clinical interview went quite poorly. Thankfully they're sending out feedback in a...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Just received the rejection from Liverpool. Not surprised honestly, since I realised I didn't meet one of their criteria only last night. Only Edinburgh to go, but at least one green is nice. :)

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Hey all, I also am joining the UCL reds. Haha. I remember doing the maths based on the number of places there were, I think there was 1 in 26 chance of getting a place there (obviously not factoring in you have 3 other options). So I don't feel too bad, I don't think others should. Especially since ...
