There is currently an interesting job posted under the title of "Psychological Therapist CBT". It's band 7 and in...

My name is Kellie Jacques and I am currently completing my doctorate in clinical psychology at the University of Oxford. I am recruiting participants for my study on young women’s experiences of sexual regret. This research aims to understand more about the relationship between sexual regret and men...

Re: Insurance - Job Title

Hi BrokenWings, I have just sorted my home insurance and will also be starting training this year. I just put 'Psychologist' as my job as I figured this applies for AP, CP, and trainee. I don't think it really matters that much as long as you are roughly on the right track- the people dealing with i...

Re: Does Politics Conflict with a Career in Clinical Psychol

Hello I don't have a huge understanding of this but I would say that some of the Psychologist on Twitter can be quite political and have seen mass letters sent etc. Also Lisa Cameron is a psychologist and an MP so I wouldn't say the two roles are mutually exclusive. Thanks for the response! It's go...

Does Politics Conflict with a Career in Clinical Psychology?

Hi everyone, Given the events of Thursday, I have started to think about whether I can get more actively engaged with politics to alleviate the constant feeling of powerlessness in big political matters. However, I am wondering whether this presents a conflict with the role that I am committing to (...

Re: Turned down interviews

Hi everyone, Just to let you know that there should be movement on the lists for Bath, Southampton, and Royal Holloway as I've withdrawn from these interviews. Good luck! I'd have been SO excited by this if Bath hadn't told us all that they're not interviewing anyone on the reserve list anymore. St...

I know it's still early days, but I was wondering if anyone else has accepted their place at Oxford? And anyone from the Tuesday morning interviews?
