Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
Hi everyone, I’m on the reserve list for Coventry and Warwick and wondered if there is anyone who has been offered a place but it still deciding whether to accept/decline or if anyone is likely to withdraw from the reserve list?!

Re: Bangor 2019
Hi! I’m a current third year trainee at Bangor. Congratulations on being offered a place! My advice would be to relax before you start the course. In terms of relocating to the area, the closer you live to a base, the better off you end up travel expenses wise. The bases are Wrexham Maelor, Glan Clw...

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?
This was my first year applying for the course and I am so happy to say that I have been offered a place :) . I will be 25 when I start training. I am one of those applicants who waited until I felt ready to apply rather than having practice runs. I graduated in 2012 with a 1st Class BSc (Hons) Psyc...

Re: Pregnant when starting training?
Hi Bd17, I'm not sure if this applies on all courses, but I have a place to start this year. I am due with my first child 2 months before the course starts so I enquired about deferring, which they said would be possible, but they wouldn't be able to guarantee funding for 2017... which makes sense ...

Re: Pregnant when starting training?
Hi all, I know this post was a few years ago but I am just wondering... If someone were to have their place deferred due to pregnancy, how would it work with funding? Would they offer the place to someone else this year or would they have to hold on to that funding for the following year?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Reserve list for places 2016
Hi Bd17, I think it's quite varied- a friend of mine was reserve for Exeter a few years back and got a place the next day, as a few people turned it down as soon as it was offered. Some people won't hear until June as the deadline for everyone to accept places is June 10th. There haven't been any i...

Re: Reserve list for places 2016
Hi all, this is my first year applying and I am also a reserve. I am just wondering when the reserve list is most likely to move? Is the movement usually at the end of the process, I am wondering if people would wait until as close to the deadline to make their decision! Any thoughts?

Re: Turned down interviews
I don't know how many are on the reserve either...it would be so helpful if we had a number. I don't know why they won't tell us
. Fingers crossed! Although we could be called up on the day of the interviews...Scary!

Re: Turned down interviews
I am also on the reserve list for an interview at Staffs. I haven't heard anything about whether the list has moved yet, as we are not allowed to contact them :(! However, a friend of mine has an interview at Staffs and she has been informed that a role play is involved! It would be great to hear if...
