Re: How do prospective courses calculate overall undergraduate percentages?
Hi BigE, As far as I am aware, this is pretty complicated. I think each course works out your grade based on your transcript and their own marking system. This will obviously mean that your grade will be different depending on which university you apply to. I am unsure if all of the courses do this ...

Re: DCLIN 2019 Edinburgh second interview
JASON! I’m so sorry!!! I don’t even know what to say - What a horrendous and trying journey :( I would say that you never know - someone might try to defer their place (it does happen) but I know that’s probably not helpful right at this moment. I hope you have a nice holiday or something planned?

Re: DCLIN 2019 Edinburgh second interview
I’m really feeling for you right now! I too would be going into overdrive at this point. I am sure that the fact you were able to make it on such short notice will earn you brownie points as it shows motivation and determination. Get stuck into your day-to-day, the week will fly by. Your mind is pan...

Re: Should I apply for the next intake - Part II
Hi Woody, I went to a pre-qualification group information day (for DClin applicantions advice) where A number of university screening staffs spoke about their process. Leicester stated that they allocate a small amount of points for living in the local area for the purpose stated above. Although we ...

Re: DCLIN 2019 Edinburgh second interview
Oh noooo! You can get refunded for the one you didn’t use though right? What a nightmare! If it is an informal one, it’s is probably going to be more about getting a feel for you personally - as I am sure you are aware - be human, smile. You’ve come this far, you deserve a place on the course. I fou...

Re: DCLIN 2019 Edinburgh second interview
Hi Jason712 How odd!? I think I read somewhere that they did this some years ago? The only thing that I can think of is that the staff from Tayside may want a say in who gets the place? It’s probably a good thing that you haven’t heard about others who have been invited - it’s likely that there will...

Re: Should I apply for the next intake - Part II
Hi neuroPsy! Thank you for sharing your experience thus far and reaching out to the community for advice. I completely understand your reluctance to apply before fully vetting the process because the application can be stressful and indeed takes a long time (I think for me, it was 8 months from appl...

Hello,
Thought I would try to get the new Lancaster cohort to join the bandwagon!
There is a Facebook group set up already - Lancaster DClinPsy 2019 where I hope we can all post what we know so far about the course; I’m sure you’re all as excited as I am about September!!!

I saw the second before the first luckily! The marking of that written test must have been quite difficult, there can’t have been many marks between all the applicants.

Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread
Hi all, my second time applying after getting no interviews last year Bangor Leeds Liverpool Lancaster (tests completed) Anyone know when we are likely to find out from Liverpool and Leeds? I've given up on the thought of Lancaster as I think I really struggled with the tests! Excited to have an in...
