Re: Edinburgh Interview Feedback

Ok thank you for the clarification. In part I was posting on here as I have applied a number of times and had a number of interviews and have been successful this year. After each I have been given feedback within a couple of weeks, which perhaps I was lucky with, but given it was different universi...

Re: Edinburgh Interview Feedback

If notes are made about your performance and stored you are legally allowed to request it is my understanding although if I am incorrect I am happy to withdraw that :) Alex - I found your whole response very strange to be honest. I posted it here because it is a forum related to clinical psychology ...

Edinburgh Interview Feedback

Hi Everyone, I was unsuccessful at the interview stage for Edinburgh, but as of yet I have not received any feedback from the interview which was now more than 3 months ago. Is everyone else experiencing the same? I also wondered if this was normal? I think it is very very poor to be made to wait th...

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread

Hey, found out yesterday that I was unsuccessful following the Edinburgh interviews, just wondering if anyone knows if there is a reserve list? Well done to those who were successful :)

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread

All Edinburgh said was that they were hoping it would be this week. I very much doubt it would be today as it is quite a complex placing procedure with all the boards and streams and they were interviewing till Friday. Last year they told people on the Thursday the week following interview week so I...

Re: Issues with Diversity in Clin Psy Trainees Recruitment

I wonder if prejudice (if any) against certain groups may be more subtle than this? The idea that men are held back in this profession is silly imo (I’m male btw). I would think that the problem may be more pronounced at certain universities depending on what they look for on forms. If they want a m...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

teesside have done it once before. the year after they lost their accreditation. they recruited all 14 places and reserve list but we're turned down by so many people that they had to recruit again. this time however they only recruited 10 places so knew from the start they would be reinterviewing....

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

For anyone who re-interviewed last week for Teesside - I thought I would share this. It turns out that they are now interviewing again on Tuesday. I am very disappointed by this because it seems they are now looking at people who weren't interviewed at all. So its gone from me being good enough to ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

Yeah I was afternoon. got an email about 15 minutes ago saying I was unsuccessful. I'm gutted. I really don't know what I did wrong or what I could have done differently. I feel even more upset then when I didn't get on after the first interview. hope others have different news. Yeah I also just go...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

At least 8 interviews if they are starting at 9 through afternoon it is likely more than that I hope it's that many spaces though!

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

That's very strange :S if they really did offer only 10 then there are at least 5 spaces because one person has definitely declined. But surely that means only 10 people who were interviewed met minimum criteria :S that's very strange but would explain no one being labelled as a reserve I guess
