Re: How does the role of a psychologist differ from CBT counsellors etc?

Thanks for the responses. I don't do any therapy at all Did you ever do therapy? Have you written anywhere about your career experiences and day-to-day life/schedule in the past? CBT seems to be the main (or only) thing the NHS does nowadays for mental health. so some of them may not deliver therapy...

Re: AP Band 4

They manage to pay doctors very well, though. And they cap the number of medical students. It seems like there's no shortage of people wanting to become doctors, I think if you cut their salary in half or removed the NHS subsidisation for their studying you'd still have loads of people who wanted to...

Re: IAPT PWP vs Assistant Psychologist?Which is better for DClin

I know you didn't post this to give others advice but may I ask what your full experience with jobs/volunteering etc is? Any tips on finding these roles? If I literally google 'nhs psychologist' it brings me to a page on how to access CBT. CBT seems to be the main (or only) thing the NHS does nowadays for mental health. So ho...

Re: Working/volunteering during undergraduate degree

Hello, I did absolutely zero unpaid work/volunteering during my first undergrad as I needed fun luxury items like food and rent, so I worked in a variety of posts like the local Bingo (mostly serving chips) and the university cafe (also mostly chip based). I went on to do seemingly tenuously linked...

Working/volunteering during undergraduate degree

Hi. I often see that people have done volunteering or work during their undergrad and can see how this might be very helpful after graduation. My worry is how I'm going to be able to fit this in and not allow it to cause my grades to suffer. Could you provide me any advice on how many hours per week...
