Re: 2020 Clinical Doctorate Application Progress Thread
Second time around for me, I have a 2:2 in another subject at undergrad and a first in an MSc conversion-I'm sharing this because when I started thinking about CP as a profession I thought I wouldn't stand a chance yet last year I had two interviews and this year one so far. I want others that may f...

Re: Ucl PWP 2019
Bebuwab - I've not been asked to do an application form but I guess there is still time. Normally there's an occupational health questionnaire as well! On the topic of start dates, UCL's clarification email suggested the start date for the course is actually 21st October, and then I guess it depends...

Re: Ucl PWP 2019
Hey, so my DBS came through and on the same day my portico changed/updated-so I think once references and DBS are sorted the course is then informed. The unconditional offer letter was made available online-it states 23rd September on the letter but perhaps that is allowing for enrolment etc if peop...

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
Also I think it's important that we acknowledge that the application process is a rollercoaster of emotions-feelings of self doubt, self efficacy, self criticism, accomplishment, pride, excitement, fear...and that can be in one afternoon. It's a pursuit that is very meaningful and rewarding but is a...

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
Thanks Rosebud! I find that really reassuring! Definitely having an existential moment approaching 30, feeling a bit "old" compared to lots of others that are being offered places on training. Your post reminds me that comparison is unhelpful and like you say, if you love it just keep goin...

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
Thought I'd join in and show some reds.
Oxford
UEL
UCL >> UCL
RHUL >> RHUL
Feeling lucky as this is my first application but also approaching 30 and worried about not getting another shot at this!

Re: Reserve list for places 2019
Just found out that I'm number 11 reserve for Royal Holloway. It's my first year applying so I feel happy that I made the list but I doubt that they move as many as 11 places. Do others have experiences of a lot of movement on the reserve lists?

Re: 2019 Doctorate Application Progress thread
I think they said they will only call successful applicants- don't know about reserve list whether they will call or just email about that. I haven't had a call so assuming it's a no given the time. It's not the most containing ways to find out to be honest. Good luck everyone and well done to those...

Re: UCL Interview
Yeh I found the occasional prompt helpful definitely. Always hard to gauge how well it went though. Always so much more to say but we will know soon what the outcome is. The lead of my panel said I can email her about feedback if I want to after the letters have been sent. I'm sure the letter will a...

Re: UCL Interview
I'm sure you did better in the group task than you think! We're always so self critical after interviews and second guess ourselves. I'm not sure if they score the group task like the main interview- not sure how they'd do it fairly. I get the impression it's more of a screening exercise but could b...
