Re: Ucl PWP 2019

Sooooo next week is my last week at my previous position, and it worries me that I still don't have a formal contract for my placement. They had some issues with my references (my reference was on holiday and she did not reply till early september) and then they found a gap in my references that I n...

Re: Ucl PWP 2019

Hi guys, I have received my pre-enrolment email today! But the online task we need to do for enrollment does not work? It shows a UCL page that seems empty... Anyone else having the same issue?

I haven't received anything lol
Same. Not further phone calls, no emails... Nothing since I've confirmed. I really want to hand in my notice at work and I don't want to do so until I have a written confirmation from HR! I'm in Newham.

Has anyone else heard anything?
I had an interview yesterday and found out this afternoon that I was successful!

Best of luck for everyone trying to get in! :D
Good! So can we confirm that they're still interviewing this week? I think I need some of those CBT techniques for my own anxiety

Re: Help me fix my covering letter to get that first AP position

Hi all, I reviewed (and reviewed, and reviewed, and reviewed...) my CL and I came to a point where I am really satisfied with it. I think it is a good letter that expresses how I relate to jobs and what my experiences and skills are. Obviously this letter keeps changing and changing as new jobs come...

Re: Seeking Guidance on Supporting Statement

For both of you, the most important thing is that every single application needs to be tailored to the specific job you are applying for. Nobody can read an application and give feedback on it without also reading the job advert and person spec of the role you are applying for. That's why I can't u...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .

1. Today is the last day to apply to that PWP course. As much as I know I'm ready and I've been working and studying for 10 years to get in, I am not positive at all I will get in. I am very, very nervous as I know this is an opportunity I've been waiting for a long time, and I'm exhausted of being ...

Re: Seeking Guidance on Supporting Statement

I am in the same position! Check https://www.clinpsy.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=21559 which is a topic that I started with my cover letter and I was given some amazing tips. My current statement looks NOTHING like it because I kept learning and learning about what was wrong. I haven't mastered...

Re: Help me fix my covering letter to get that first AP position

Wow, you don't know how much you're helping me! This info is really helpful. I took a look at my membership letter and it does say that "This letter can be shown to tutors who require proof of membership and GBC". So it's all clear now. That's something to celebrate! I feel like my applications are ...

Re: Help me fix my covering letter to get that first AP position

But you need to state you have GBC, which is that the shortlister is checking for. I don't care at all whether an applicant is a member of the BPS. That's just a subscription. I am sorry to bother you up to this level, but I have been thinking about this for a while and I don't know what's the corr...
