Re: Volunteers wanted!
Mine done - sorry for taking so long. All broken links etc. fixed. Only one to mention is the 2-2 article - I haven't gone through and checked the requirements of each course; though aware this could be out of date now. Would it better to remove this and just signpost to the clearing house website f...

Re: Teeth clenching causing jaw pain and headaches
It's an interesting issue when you start digging into it a bit! Especially when it becomes more complex/longstanding. Apparently I've done it in my sleep since being little - I have absolutely no awareness of it but it used to drive siblings mad! Various dentists over the years have attributed it to...

Re: Putting together a book proposal...feedback wanted!
Hi again, Just to follow up on this, I'm planning a couple of new chapters for this; one around self-care and resilience, and one focused on the value of reflecting on our own mental health in relation to working in psychology (and the challenges this can bring). If anyone fancies collaborating, sen...

Putting together a book proposal...feedback wanted!
Hi all, I'm in the process of putting together a book proposal and have been in discussions with some publishers about it. The idea is for a text based on professional issues around training in clinical psychology, being particularly aimed at aspiring and trainee clinical psychologists who are inter...

Re: Helen Winter and Kids Company
I am sympathetic, she certainly sounds like she regrets her actions and maybe she had things that were influencing her decision making at the time. But... letting two vulnerable young people, known only as clients C and D, stay at her flat Winter was seen offering MDMA to a vulnerable young person, ...

Re: Bereavement
It is very CBT-focused/technical and not specific to bereavement...so not sure how helpful in this case...but my go-to recommendation is 'Cognitive Therapy in Adverse Life Circumstances', which is a chapter in Frontiers of Cognitive Therapy (Salkovskis). It can be picked up pretty cheap second hand ...

I really enjoyed reading that - refreshingly honest and normalising about difficult dynamics within families. I'll keep an eye out for the documentary!

Re: Recovery targets
For what it's worth, this sounds like a really stressful situation to be in and I can imagine it would add undue pressure to your work. I wonder if it's worth bringing up with your manager/supervisor to discuss what the policies are around this, and to (hopefully) set your mind at ease if there aren...
