I got on with PWP and RA work that wasn’t client-related. It’s a myth that you need RA/AP work. It helps yes but if you have a supportive IAPT serv...

Re: What was the point in studying psychology?

I think the view that either you get on or have nothing discounts the achievements and experiences of lots of lovely and talented people. Some of the best CBT practitioners I know wanted to get on the CP course initially and didn’t even apply because they found CBT. Some of my friends have done PhDs...

Congrats! When did you hear from Leeds? And has anyone else heard? I'm climbing the walls waiting!
I got an email today but clearing house hasn’t updated. I know others who haven’t heard yet (hope my interview isn’t some weird mistake!). Good luck :)

Re: 2020 Clinical Doctorate Application Progress Thread

First time applicant. Waited until I felt ready. Feeling really hopeful but have a comedy movie binge prepared for the fall if no interviews are offered. Leeds Manchester Newcastle Sheffield Now Manchester as expected as I found the deductive reasoning test quite hard. Still hoping and trying not t...

Is there scope for high intensity therapists to be scientist practitioners?

Hi all I really feel ready for a change this year. I work in IAPT as a PWP and have applied for the DClinpsy but was also thinking of applying to HIT training. I would prefer a scientist practitioner role. I really love being involved in research, audit and service development. However I know the do...

Courses with driving licence as a requirement

Hi all I'm currently cramming driving lessons with a view to taking a shot at the test in December. As I am concerned about passing on time (I'm a klutz) and want to give myself breathing room, I was hoping to hedge my bets with regards to the courses I apply to. Therefore, I'm looking at which ones...
