Posting about your personal life

I see what you are all saying, and I am sorry for posting here. I did join this website, and continue to be a part of it, with a genuine interest in Clinical Psychology, and am a BSc Psychology graduate. I now realise that posting on here was misjudged.
kind regards,

Re: Would a Counselling MSc help to get AP jobs?

I was just wondering, if I changed my mind about becoming a Counsellor after completing the course, would the MSc help me to gain jobs as APs or RAs? Or would they be placing more value on other types of training/jobs? There isn't a straightforward answer to this, as it will depend on the opportuni...

Re: Would a Counselling MSc help to get AP jobs?

FWIW I found my counselling training to be enormously useful in my CP work, and I found the counselling training to look in significantly more depth into my own person make-up and what that means about my own practice than the DClinPsy did. It has definitely shaped much of my practice when I work t...

Re: Would a Counselling MSc help to get AP jobs?

It is somewhat relevant, though not really advantageous for the majority of AP posts IMHO, though it would depend what post. Would a Counselling MSc help to get AP jobs?

Hi! I have an interview for a MSc Counselling course coming up soon. I was just wondering, if I changed my mind about becoming a Counsellor after completing the course, would the MSc help me to gain jobs as APs or RAs? Or would they be placing more value on other types of training/jobs? So far, I ha...

Re: Torn between career options, how do I decide?!

Hello I can't help with giving specific careers advice but was interested in your post as you appear to have similar interests to myself, so I would be interested in hearing others responses. I picked up on your concerns about emotional exhaustion, so wondered whether you had considered trying to g...

Torn between career options, how do I decide?!

Hi! I am a Psychology graduate (who received a First-Class Honours) trying to figure out what to do with my life. I have applied for some Clinical Psychology courses and some Counselling courses (MScs) and I really don't know what to do. Recently, I have also come across Speech and Language Therapy,...
