They haven’t actually confirmed it but I was promised Aneurin Bevan because of where I live and sorting out childcare so fingers crossed they remembered!

Re: Cardiff 2018

I’ve just moved into my house in Monmouth so I’ll be commuting. The course starts with a 2 week induction (I’ll call in a few times during this, there are free lunches to be had!) Then there are 4 weeks of teaching block before going onto placement 3 days a week, with 1 day a week teaching and...

Re: Cardiff 2018

Hi!
I’m technically from last year’s cohort but I only did 3 months before going on maternity leave with twins! So I’ll be dropping into your cohort from November. Looking forward to meeting the new group.

Re: Cardiff 2017

Hello all (if any of you are still following this!) I'm Gareth (Gaz - I answer to most things) I'll also be starting in October and have to cram my excitement into a very short period of time as I had an extremely late offer (the admin manager is still trying to retrieve what's left of her hand!) I...

Re: Did you study a Masters?

Thanks for your reply :) Well, I studied a joint honours degree at undergraduate level so have to do a Masters conversion course if I would like BPS accreditation anyway but just feel so silly at not having just done straight Psychology, then I wouldn't be in this mess. Anyway, I guess I just wante...

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?

Wasn't sure I'd ever get to post here after being on this forum since 2008! I graduated in 2007 after completing a post-graduate diploma to convert my joint degree into a psychology one. I immediately went into support work for people with LD and spent 5 years there, completing a PGCE and an MSc in ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2017 entry DClinPsy

I've waited such a long time to post this... After 6 years, 4 years of interviews and 2 reserve places I can finally say: Cardiff I'm still in a bit of a shock but I am over the moon. It's been a long, tough process for me and so many people have asked me why I've kept putting myself through it for ...

Coventry

Definitely too far down to get a place but I'm really pleased that they offer feedback even if you're a reserve. Would love to know how the rest of the Monday interview group did as everyone was so lovely!
