Re: Newly qualified CP move to Canada

Hi AH, I briefly considered the same option in the past, but probably got stuck around the same point as you; and it just seemed too impractical at the end. However, don't let that put you off. It may be worth emailing some clinical psychologists, the local professional organisation (as in, equivale...

Re: Family/Systemic Training/CPD

Hi countingdown,

A family therapist in my team has recently advertised https://ift.org.uk/ and https://www.therapytrainingboston.com/ .

Hope this helps!

PS. Thanks to @ClinPsy for pointing me here.

Re: IoP 2016

Hello, party people,

JCPsych and I have agreed to meet on the 28th (so, 2 weeks from now)
at the Costa in Brixton at 3 pm. Everyone else is welcome to join!

I'll think of a way we can recognize each other over the next few days.

Look forward to getting to know you,

Re: IoP 2016

As for learning about placements and timetables, I know of a course up North where students have already been given a schedule for the whole year (though not their placement settings), so I don't think you're being too eager. I'm going to stick my head out a bit and suggest a meet-up. Who ...

Re: IoP 2016

Though I don't live in the area myself, East Dulwich is pretty. I haven't heard anything exciting about Herne Hill, but nothing bad either. Brixton is very diverse and good for shops/the cinema/finding nice food. Yes, I enjoyed the welcome letter as well, though it was a bit low on new information. ...

Welcome, ironlady!

Oh yes, that's a good idea. I'm also happy to offer pointers around SW London
and the Denmark Hill campus, if required. 8)

Re: IoP 2016

Welcome back, JCPSych! I've heard various numbers, but supposedly, there will be 4-6 men on this year's course. So, you needn't worry. ;) I've had moments where I felt the same way. The welcome letter was nice though. I already live in SW London, so to get any closer, I would have to find ...

Re: IoP 2016

Hi JCPsych, Bit of a late response, but there we are. We'll be starting the course together! :) I've also been slightly baffled that we don't know more about our cohort by now. Are you looking forward to starting? Would be nice if other people from the forum came forward... 8) Ciao, NeoPsych

I just wanted to take the opportunity to personally thank everyone for coming!
I felt we had a good turnout with up to 11 attendees and you were a lovely and
very productive group to work with. :)

So, big up yourself and good luck all with the test!

Surrey / Salomons Test Meeting

Dear all, last year, when I applied to Surrey, there was a meeting organized through this board in central London to prepare for the written statistics test which I found extremely helpful. We basically went through all the questions from the previous years' exams and contributed our suggestions for...
