Changes in Iapt and branching out.

I hardly recognise the IAPT service since I first started. Our own service has dropped its clinical hours requirement down to 21 hours by 3 hours. We still specialise in stress control groups, CCBT, telephone work and face to face. Our regions have become centralised so wait times are fairer. We can ...

re PWP post

Hi
Is anyone aware of any services that will take on a PWP 3-4 days a week? Are there any private healthcare providers that take on PWPS.

Thank you.

What are the IAPT services like to work for in these areas?

Re: Targets

Any other feedback updates on how other services are doing with increased targets? Individuals who are running groups are meeting targets. Those who do enough throughput to run groups and are operating on individual appointments alone are struggling to maintain targets.

Re: surviving targets

I share the same sentiments as a PWP too. Im doing 2 hours of overtime a week to catch up on paperwork sometimes if we have meetings etc. Our service is looking at creative ways of doing groups and CCBT. Groups are guaranteed hrs. Im looking to change my role as Ive been doing it for 3 years. I cann...

Re: Targets

Ok, so the increased number of contacts has been increased for a little while now. I book in 24 hours worth of contacts, our aim is to get 22 hours worth of contact time in which includes dnas and cancellations. I find that I can average 18-21 hours of actual contact contacts because of dnas/cancell...

Re: PWP BABCP accredition

I find accreditation helps me to reflect and look back at my learning over time and development. I find the accreditation process straight forward. I kept my clinical skills and case management up to date on a regular basis. I like receiving journals and updates etc. The reaccreditation asks for 5 p...

Re: NELFT Trainee PWPs

Hi I remember applying for different posts in different counties in 2008-2010. I applied for a pwp nearer to my home 3 times and got interviews but did not get the post. Re: Targets

I was in an old service that did 30 contacts.

Presently do 36 a week, sometimes 36-40. We are being asked to increase our contacts to 48 a week  :o . Does other services manage this amount per week and is it doable ?
