Re: Moving to NHS Scotland as a PWP

Hi! I did the adult CAAP MSc course. My understanding is that the role is quite different from a PWP (Sorry, I don't know much about how IAPT works). I would suggest just contacting the course to find out if your qualification would be recognised towards it, but to be honest I doubt it. It really is...

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?

As I am about to start training with Lancaster next week I thought I would add to this thread! I am 30 years old - I think it's nice to see that it's not just people in their early-mid 20s who get on! I applied 3 times and had 3 interviews in total (0 on my 1st application, 1 on my 2nd application, ...

Re: Lancaster GMA tests 2016

From what I remember you can't come back to the questions later. There were a few questions (in the numerical) where I just guessed answers because I figured I could waste time on difficult questions and still not get the right answer, or I could guess and give myself a good change to answer the oth...

Re: Moving to do DClinPsy

I'm in a similar position - wanting to be happy about getting a place on the doctorate, but feeling utterly stressed and sad about having to move. I'm not in a relationship, so don't have to worry about that, but there are other factors in play, such as my friendships and family. As I will be moving...

Re: How many years after graduation before you got on the course

It took me 7 years. Partly because I gained no relevant experience during my undergrad, and then I had almost a whole year post-undergrad doing a completely unrelated job (initially I was naïve and had no understanding of what it took to be a CP, and then it took me a while to build up the courage t...

I'll be confirming with you all individually that you are happy to share your personal email with the rest of the cohort and will give that to you as a group once the 24 of you are all finalised. It makes the early chats about setting up groups and housing etc a lot easier.
That sounds good :)

Lancaster 2018

I saw there have been a few people on here who got offered a place with Lancaster, so thought I would set up a thread for us! Anyone up for a Facebook group? I'm happy to set that up! As I'll be moving all the way from North East Scotland would be awesome to get to know people better!

Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread

Hey! Does anyone know when we’re likely to hear back from Edinburgh? I heard that they're hoping to let people know this week, but if not the week after, but if not definitely by deadline day. So could be anytime it seems, but I think they're keen to let people know sooner rather than later.

Re: 2018 Doctorate Application Progress thread

Hello. Just wondering if anyone with an interview at Lancaster was sent further details yet? It's been 2 weeks since I found out I have an interview and still no interview date or further info.

Edinburgh
Glasgow
Lancaster
Teesside

Stressful day with getting 2 rejections and 1 interview, but the wait is finally over! Somewhat better result than 3 years ago when I last applied (only had 1 interview with Lancaster).
