http://i63.tinypic.com/xe331v.png Hi everyone, my name is Charlotte Whittle and I am a Trainee Clinical Psychologist at the University of Bath. I am researching the topic of disclosure amongst people who have experienced a mental health problem. I would like to invite anyone over the age of 18 who ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2016

Well done pixie! Which day did you interview? Are you going to accept your place? Thanks, I was there on Tuesday and was in the last group to be interviewed. How about you? I've got one London interview to go (it's a better location for me) but I loved everything about the Bath course so I need to ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2015

Help! I've just had a voice mail from the director of bath but doesn't say why. My phone wont let me ring back. Has anyone else heard anything? Hi Kitty, everyone will have heard back yesterday. Last year a phonecall would have meant a place or low reserve, although this year it looks like Paul has...

Re: Reserve lists

I am 10th reserve for Newcastle does anyone have any idea on how much the reserve lists move? I was number 14 in 2012. Good luck! X Did you get an interview Mama? I'm 14 on the list for Cardiff (South Wales) but really unsure whether this will move much? What do people think? :alien: I was number 1...

Re: Warner Interview - Any advice?

Hiya i've had a warner interview before and it really is nothing to worry about. There is no need to prepare for it as they will just ask you some general questions about you (although it can feel quite odd when they ask you about difficult times in your childhood, etc). It's basically just to check...

Re: How many publications did you have when you got on train

Hi there, I am a trainee at Bath. I have 0 publications and I think out of 17 of us about 2 or 3 do. It always worried me before applying but I really don't think it is the be all and end all of an application. Also, as some advice for anyone that is worried about this, I got stung in the tail a fai...

Re: Structure/timetable

At Bath we have 2 Uni days (Monday & Tuesday) and 3 placement days (Wed/Thurs/Fri). You start with a 2 month teaching block, although you are on placement immediately 1 day a week (can be quite daunting, but gets you into the swing of things quickly). We occassionally have an afternoon here and ...

Re: Beliefs about training before starting

To reiterate a few of the comments above, I had expectations of my cohort being super academic, serious, 'clinpsyc is my life' types, but they are the best bunch of people I could have the pleasure of going through this with. We have such a laugh in and out of lectures. I know everyone says your coh...

Re: What are my chances?

I agree with what the others have said and think you sound like you have a really good chance when you decide to apply :) Just thought i would also add that there are 2 people in my cohort who worked as stop smoking counsellors in the NHS and i think it was really good experience for them and stood ...

Re: What experience did you have when you got on training?

Feels so strange to be contributing to this thread as I was beyond convinced it wasn’t my time this year. I’m starting training next month after being offered a last minute place. I was fairly far down the reserve list and want other reserve listers to know it does happen!! I will be 24 when I start...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

It's taken a few days to post as it's taken a few days to sink in: Bath has turned to Bath after a last minute phonecall on Friday! I was so shocked I couldn't even speak and had to call back later to accept! Just goes to show, this must happen slightly more than we think and might give other reserv...
