Re: Birmingham AP Group
Did you find one Jack? I'm not aware of anything current.
I have a few APs who would probably be interested in starting something up if not, although they work in the black country.

Re: How long did you stay in first qualified post?
I agree with Ruthie! I have moved around a little; I did 4-6 weeks in my very first post but this was temporary (supposed to be 6 months). I got offered a permanent post before I started that first post so I told them as soon as I could and stayed as long as I could without seriously irritating the ...

Re: 5 things I'm thinking today. . .
1. Fantastic assistant interviews today... hard to choose between them all. Really looking forward to working with the one we chose! 2. Also had a lovely work plan meeting re: my new principal CP post, and looking forward to that, despite the very inherent challenges! 3. I found out 2 weeks ago that...

Thanks!

Re: Knew you wanted to be a CP from a young age? How?
Mine's a bit of a mix! I took A level psychology, sociology and english lit, so I was never destined for medicine! At the end I worked out that I was equally "alright" at all of these subjects but wasn't so keen on Sociology (sorry Campino :P) so wanted to take Eng lit and psychology furth...

Re: Applying for jobs before graduation?
You could definitely apply for healthcare assistant/support worker roles and possibly honorary AP work! I got a few interviews while I was waiting for my classification but that was 6 years ago now and times may have changed. You could try applying for AP posts to fine tune your application form for...

Re: How do you dress for work?
I wear the more casual side of smart casual too... Dress with leggings and shoes in summer or dress with cardi, tights and boots in the winter!! Unless interviewing on either side... But to be honest the most recent interview I went to the 8d wore jeans and a t shirt. My closest colleague often wear...
