Over the last few years I was invited to 4 interviews for 3 different courses (non selection-test courses), gained a place on training this year and never had a psychologist as a referee on my form!

In the IAPT service I trained with we had a large workforce in these roles - they were called 'therapy support workers' but the duties seem very similar to the role of an assistant PWP. I agree with Mungle. Write a generic application for different client groups and then if you do need to tailor it further it shouldn’t take too long at all! You’ll have an application almost ready to submit!

Could you not do agency support work (or anything else that will provide you with an income) alongside a p/t voluntary role in a relevant organisation which would provide you with the supervision you need? I don't think it's uncommon for people to volunteer to meet some of their competencies on the ...
