Re: Selection Tests Email Study Group

Are you including UEL test prep in this. If so count me in too please!

Thanks :)

Re: Applying for 2015

Having such a dilemma picking a course for my fourth and final place!

Out of random curiosity, why are we limited to a selection of four? Is it just to stop people applying to every single course?
I move that we suggest it's upped to a limit of six applications. Just to save the headaches.

Re: Applying for 2015

Thanks kiora, I think that's what I'll do. It doesn't feel quite right listing it under the experience section when I haven't actually experienced it yet! Apologies if this has already been asked, but what's the procedure for reviewing application forms this year? That is if it's happening at all, I...

Re: Applying for 2015

It's 99% likely that I'll be starting new job towards the end of December (though not absolutely guaranteed) would it be worthwhile putting it on the application form, as that'll be submitted before I'm due to start. It's a part time AP role in the NHS so it seems like it would be worth including! W...

Re: Applying for 2015

From the clearing house website: "Minimum selection requirements Funding arrangements for the programme are such that applications are only accepted from UK/EU students who are entitled to work full-time in the UK for the duration of the programme (three years). This means that applicants must have ...

Re: Salomons 2014 intake

As someone who's looking to apply this year too I wanted to ask your experiences of commuting from london. I'm currently in NW London and car-less which I imagine is a bit of a barrier. How have those of you who've been car-sharing etc found it, and is it even remotely possible to attend placements ...

Re: Would you like me to review your application form?

I might ask for your help too. No big rush though. If you let me know when you've got a bit of a lull or some spare time let me know, and if you're still willing to review (and haven't torn all your hair out yet) I'd really appreciate your input. I think it's really great that some of you senior cli...

Re: Reserve Place for a Course

When I got my debriefing in Edinburgh they said it'd be by letter rather than email. Though that's what they said about interview invites as well. ;)

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

Last week of this loooooong process!

Good luck to everyone still waiting for that final outcome, and well done to all of us for surviving. Why do I have the suspicion that there will be lots of potential psychologists reaching for the wine on Friday night? ;)

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

Leeds Aaand I'm done. Since it's so late in the process I'm not sure how much the list will move, but at least it's not that long to wait. Still very nice of them to let us know so fast, I just interviewed this morning. Friendly course and lovely trainees. Wish Edinburgh was as quick! Have a feelin...

Re: Edinburgh interview short-listing process

I agree with what other folk have been saying. The academic interview was awful. No emotion at all from the panel. Was slightly scary and really hard to gauge how I was doing in terms of answering the questions properly. By comparison the clinical was fine, the role play was much less intimidating t...

Anyone care to put my mind at ease... How scary / intimidating / fun and wonderful was the interview process today?

Re: Edinburgh interview short-listing process

Hi miffyfoofoo,

You should have got an email a while back that said the pre-prepared paper part of the interview process was no longer happening. So no need to worry!

Good luck to everyone interviewing this week!!

Re: Edinburgh interview short-listing process

I'm really not sure what to expect from the written section! If anyone could shed some light that would be much appreciated! Nerves are finally starting to kick in. What do you think the chances are of a question about the future of the NHS in a (possibly) independent Scotland popping up? I feel lik...
