Re: Boxplot or Barchart?

You can use either I think, but I'm just not sure which is more appropriate in my situation!

I suppose to me it seems wrong to do a test using medians and report those descriptives, and then use a graph which shows means.

Boxplot or Barchart?

Hi all, So I'm faced with a dilemma. I have data that was meant to be analysed with a repeated measures t-test. However, as the data was skewed and failed to meet assumptions for a parametric test, I've analysed it with a Wilcoxon Rank test (which used medians in the analysis). All fine so far. Now ...

Another request! :)

Hi all, Could someone help me get this article please? NHS athens doesn't have much access to journals :( van der Roer N, Goossens ME, Evers SM, van Tulder MW (2005). What is the most cost-effective treatment for patients with low back pain? A systematic review. Best Practice & Research Clinical Rhe...

Wow, that's a strange one. Like you, I don't agree with any of the reviewer's comments. Has the journal you selected published IPA studies before? If so, you could challenge the comments. Is your study in the field of physical health by any chance? You could always try the journal 'Psychology & Heal...

NHS(London) Loan for annual Oyster card

Hi,

Does anyone know if Trusts within London have a scheme for staff to borrow money to buy an annual oyster card?

Oyster Card Question

To all fellow Londoners... That damn Oyster card. I know we get a penalty if we don't tap in/out correctly on a pay as you go Oyster. But does this also happen on an annual Oyster as well? My gut feeling is that we shouldn't get a penalty, as it simply runs out on a certain date, instead of having a...

Just a quick comment to say that at 22, I was still working in a supermarket and volunteering. I know a lot of people who did not have a job at all at that age, so you really are doing better than you give yourself credit for

I think it's almost certain that MSc costs will dramatically rise too. What's more worrying is that it will mean people who want to consider converting to psychology after already doing a degree will really be put off by the cost now. At the moment graduate students aren't entitled to full support f...

Regular breaks every 40-60 minutes work like a charm. They could even be a coffee break or just to get them to stand up and do a bit of stretches. Also, if you can, try to use different types of multimedia. Video clips are brilliant, and powerpoint slides go without saying. And if you can, throwing ...
