Is it worrying that Elizabeth's SPSS test for her RA job sounds like fun to me?

We've got PS I love you waiting to be watched, but I can't bring myself to watch it. I think I will find it too sad - I make myself cry whenever I just think about the possibility of Mr ell dying. Films NOT to watch: Year One Bewitched House Bunny. Not had a great run on the lovefilm list recently. ...

I too get very annoyed with 'loose' instead of 'lose'.

Get irritated by people calling magazines 'books'.

Lolcatz is the second language of the ell household. Might be overtaken by Swedish soon though.

Computer stuff. Some kind of consulting. Programs a lot. Really don't know what he actually does. Basically a computer techy like everyone else's partner!

1) My head hurts.
2) My sinuses hurt.
3) I want some breakfast but feel too ill to make it myself.
4) I have a lovely husband.
5) Wish lovely husband would make breakfast soon, but he is working hard so I shouldn't be so demanding.

I agree with Bella. Last year I chose not to view the 'other' forum until after interview letters were out. If people get anxious it's their responsibility, while still being able to express that anxiety to peers who will understand.

Good idea to move the conversation to a separate thread. It makes sense to use academic informaton to aid selection (this is a doctorate after all!). There is a difference, however, between: 1) completely ruling out people with a lower 2:1 (which is still within the minimum criteria set by the cours...

I completely agree, as long as they are not just blanket discarding applications solely on the academic marks. I think I just find it very frustrating because when I graduated with my 'low' 2:1 several years ago, all you needed to get on the course was a 2:1, none of this percentage business. I can ...

Freaking out now, having applied to RHUL (a London uni). Surely that is unfair, if in the course criteria for application they don't say that? UCL are transparant and say those things, but the others do not. I agree that academic ability is important, and courses are well within their rights to set ...

This made me laugh so much! Especially the bit about inventing a new psychology field.

On a serious note - glad the Bristol course is reappearing next year. If I don't get in this year I have an extra course I can apply to.
