Re: Decisions Decisions.....
Well it does sound like a brilliant PWP job you have at present, I can see why it's tempting to stay! It depends what your long term plans are. If you're aiming for clinical training, then I think the experience of the senior PWP post would be great- there'll be opportunities for giving supervision,...

Re: BABCP PWP Accreditation - Private Practice???
I agree Jane Doe, there are all sorts of private therapies available and I see no reason for PWP work to be any different. I can see a role for PWPs in the private sector e.g. as contractors offering interventions through occupational health schemes (after all, one of the main reasons the PWP role w...

Re: Reserve lists for interviews and places
There was a more general one as well, here: http://www.clinpsy.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8533&hilit=reserve Scared that someone in a similar reserve list place to me at Surrey got a day's notice to attend an interview last year  ! Better book those days off work just in case...

Re: Progress thread for clinical applications 2011
Oxford Southampton :D Surrey Salomons So unbelievably happy to have a green, I was bouncing round the office all afternoon! Will enjoy the feeling for a little while before the panic sets in. First time applying, but I did graduate 5 years ago and waited until I felt I had a good shot. Congratulati...

Re: Reserve lists for interviews and places
was told that in most previous years it has got down into the 40's (though last year it only got to about 23!) Wow, I'm on the Surrey reserve and thought I had no chance, perhaps there is a chance afterall. That seems like a lot of people to turn down interviews... I know, that's what I thought! I'...

Re: Reserve lists for interviews and places
I'm high up on the Surrey reserve list also. This is my first time applying so I have no idea about how they inform us if there's change/when we may know/my chances of getting an interview. Everyone around me who works in clinical is really optimistic about me being on the reserve list so I guess i...

Re: Progress thread for clinical applications 2011
They are still shortlisting and will let us know by the deadline... Correction.. on the deadline So, after raising everyone's anxiety levels, they are going to keep us waiting 'til the bitter end. Ah well :| . Glad they have clarified that the email was sent to everyone, at least we will not now sp...

Re: Progress thread for clinical applications 2011
Congratulations on your reserve list for Surrey and sorry to hear about the Salomons rejection. Fingers crossed! I got rejected from Surrey so Im not holding out much hope for Salomons, but just wondering when they emailed you? I've just checked on the clearing house website and my status has chang...

Re: Progress thread for clinical applications 2011
First update... Oxford Southampton Surrey :? Salomons Not sure how far down the reserve list as have had no letter as yet, just going by the Clearing House website... Quite a nice email from Salomons, sounds as though they have based it entirely on the test scores, so not too surprised I wasn't succ...

Just read what you personally have been sent and follow the instructions! To clarify, from my understanding- I (mistakenly) got an email from Salomons last week inviting me to sit the test there, which very clearly stated that you had to reply to confirm attendance. I now (correctly!) have a letter ...

I imagine there's only one paper, otherwise it would be unfair to compare the results. I guess they'll rely on the fact that we are all in competition and being marked against each other- I for one am certainly not shooting myself in the foot by giving anyone after me tips! Plus it's largely testing...

Have now had a letter from Surrey inviting me to sit the test at Surrey, in addition to the email from Salomons yesterday inviting me to sit it at Salomons!! Think someone somewhere is confused... Now the Surrey one is at 9am and Salomons at 11am...do you reckon they'll notice if I drive like a mani...
