Re: MSc application asking for BPS registration number?

That's awful, you should definitely not have to be a BPS member to apply. Can you ring someone involved in running the course who may understand the BPS accreditation system? It sounds like this has gone to an admissions secretary who is just ticking boxes...

Re: The Person Below Me Game

I adore cheese! The smellier and runnier the better (had gorgonzola pancakes for breakfast this morning- yum yum :D !). I used to work in an award winning cheese shop in my uni holidays, best job ever. Apart from clinical psychology of course...

Re: MSc Qualifications vs. Other Professional Qualifications

Hi SuviH and welcome to the forum :) . I wouldn't say it is the case that 'most' people are doing masters. Re: One thing I'll commit to do today

I'm going to eat this chicken leg. Done. A nice SMART goal there, Will. I commit to sorting through the huge stack of bills, letters, junk-mail and goodness-knows-what-else that has been gradually growing on my desk over several weeks. By the end of the weekend. Tonight I commit only to Liam ...

Re: Further experience through IAPT

Hi Ferris, I'm also a former PWP starting training this year and a lot of the extra stuff I did in the role certainly helped my application, as well as the excellent clinical experience I gained. I'd say anything that helps to demonstrate that you can think and work on a wider service/organisational...

Re: The Cathartic thread - rant here!

Dear Temporary-Traffic-Light-Putter-Uppers, It is a common phenomenon that traffic going into town will be heavy in the morning and traffic going out of town will be heavy in the evening. Given this, is it really too much to ask that you could phase the lights accordingly? This way you would save hu...

Re: when to refer

As The Cone said, it would help to know a bit more about the context you're working in, and it's important to discuss this with the psychology service and get their feedback on what referrals are appropriate. We can only speculate... :) One factor may be the time that has elapsed since the traumatic...
