Re: Reserve Place for a Course

Still waiting to hear back about the Glasgow reserve list. :? I know of one person having made it on this year from the reserve list. Just hoping it moves some more! Have all the uni's made their decisions now or are we still waiting for some? I don't think there are other courses left to notify, a...

Re: Reserve Place for a Course

Has anyone heard about any movement on the Leeds reserve list? I'm way down the list but still curious to know if it has moved any? I haven't heard anything new, but when did you find out where you are on the list? I emailed several days ago and I haven't heard from them since. Update: I found out ...

Just added a job searchh site to my toolbar.. not feeling very hopeful... I'm second on Leicester's reserve list but I just have a feeling it won't move anymore :-( Oh, sorry to hear that :( I don't know where I am on my reserve lists, but it sounds quite frustrating to be so close and yet not quit...

Re: Reserve Place for a Course

Hi all, Does anyone know how much the Leeds reserve list moved by last year as I am trying to work out if I have any chance? Being on a reserve for Leeds and Newcastle is stressing me out, but at least there is still a chance! Good luck to everyone on reserves, here's hoping they keep moving! Emma ...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

Wish Edinburgh was as quick! Have a feeling I'll be waiting until deadline day. Fingers crossed you move up that list! :) Thank you. I'm very grateful they were so quick about it, now it just makes it easier to plan my next steps accordingly. It kind of goes in line with how they are, and they made...

Leeds

Aaand I'm done. Since it's so late in the process I'm not sure how much the list will move, but at least it's not that long to wait.
Still very nice of them to let us know so fast, I just interviewed this morning. Friendly course and lovely trainees.

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

Hi. How long does the pending result stay on the clearing page before the results are actually out? The staffs result has been pending for over an hour and I'm at risk of developing repetitive strain injury from refreshing the page! Well, it really depends. It can stay that way for quite a while. U...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

My understanding is that other universities do not always do this - some believe that if you got a place, you did well enough and do not need feedback. I know this is also off topic, but given how much of our profession is based on reflection and improving from past experience, I think Lancaster's ...

Re: Reserve Place for a Course

Hey guys, sorry if anyone has asked this before but couldn't see anything! So I have been placed on a reserve list and would like to know what this actually means. First off, 2/3 of my interviews were a disaster, I felt. So I had no hope at all of getting the place. But now I have actually made it ...

Re: Have you thought about becoming a psychiatrist?

Hi, I work with a lot of clinical psychologists and I think it is a great rewarding career and an excellent choice. When I was 18 I was undecided between psychology, neuroscience and medicine (with the intention of doing psychiatry) and settled on medicine. I'm now a consultant addiction psychiatri...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications
