Re: Applying for jobs as a High Intensity

I would apply anywhere and be clear about when you finish at interview stage. This is a common practice and I know as a service we are fine with this though the employment is conditional upon passing. Also, unless you are wanting to work in a specific service, CBT posts do come and go all year round...

Re: Applying for qualified posts whilst still a trainee

It shouldn't be too much of an issue as it quite common for trainees to apply to qualified roles before finishing however the employment offer may be conditional upon passing either first time or upon resubmitting.

Re: Senior PWP post

We recently have recently hired senior PWPs, some of the things they mentioned were: - Managing own caseload as well as supervising up to 5 other PWPs - ways of working together in their current team but also together as senior - they were asked to problem solve on the spot some of our service issue...

Re: Do you need to drive for all PWP posts?

Like above, I would still apply as I did this. I was willing to travel and luckily my service made a point of giving me clinics close to where I lived so it worked out well.

Good luck :-)

Re: re PWP post

Agency workers can choose to work anything from 3 days so that might be worth looking in to. I'm not sure how commonly part-time PWP roles are advertised directly from services though.

Re: The PWP role

My experience as a PWP has been mainly positive though comparable. The service I trained in is known for high targets/caseload and though this pace was something new for me, it was the team and supervision they provided which made it possible. I thoroughly enjoyed my training and learning on the job...

Re: PWP Training Now available without a degree

This is not a new route - it has been available for a few years now depending on which university you are looking at. I worked in a service where people did get on to the training without a degree - I must say I did question this and them ask a PWP as there is so much to the role than delivering the...
