Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2015

I'm not putting my hopes up, so just now I'm not doing anything in terms of preparation. Are statistics something that is asked at the interview? By the way, did we have to upload a CV? I understood that to just be an example of how to name different kinds of documents that we upload. I never upload...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2015

I'm kind of done but my documents aren't loading  I struggled with loading my documents too. The website kept "freezing" and I kept switching it off, then uploading again, then freezing again ... etc... But eventually after one time of it freezing and me switching it off, there the documents w...

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2015

Really struggling to keep everything within word limit. I wish we could write more than just 300-400 words per question. Sorry, just needed to have a wee rant!

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2015

Thanks for your reply. I was thinking of doing it quite similarly to the NHS questions bit. I find it a bit strange that there's not even a hint given as to what they would like you to write :|

Re: MSc Psychological Therapy in Primary Care 2015

Wow, HumourMe, that was quick! Good luck.

I'm just wondering what people are thinking about the personal statement bit on the UK Pass application? I'm guessing it's supposed to be some sort of 'cover letter'? Are people just making it quite similar to their answers in the NHS form or not?

So glad I came here to check, because I was beginning to worry that there is something wrong with me for not being able to find it!

Re: Are undergraduate masters good?

I wonder if you're talking about the Scottish undergraduate e.g. MA (Hons)? I think it's the old Scottish universities that use those. I went to Aberdeen uni and I have a MA (Hons) in Psychology. If this is what you're talking about, then these are just the same as any other undergraduate. They're j...

Re: Would you like me to review your application form?

Hi BlueCat! Firstly, thank you for this very kind offer! I'd really like to take you up on this. I've sent you a PM but I'm not sure if you got it, because it's in my 'outbox' rather than 'sent' folder'. As I explain in my PM- I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to technological issues! I seem to hav...

Re: The Great Big Progress Thread for 2014 Applications

1st time application. In order of preference: Edinburgh Manchester Southampton Plymouth Got my final result on Friday, but couldn't bring myself to come to these forums till now. The final "no" certainly devastated me this weekend. I don't think I'll be checking this thread anymore, as I need to foc...

Re: MSc Considerations for D.ClinPsy App

Also worth considering that you get a band 6 salary while training as a CAAP. Plus the Edinburgh University clinical doctorate course has introduced a new feature this year - if you have done the MSc to be a CAAP, you can do the doctorate over 2 1/2 years instead of 3 (and you don't have to do a sm...
