Hi folks, I'm doing my training in an Irish university, but my partner's career means that we might end up spending some time in the UK in future, after I've done my payback years in the HSE. I've heard mixed reports on how easy it is to get recognised by the BPS and HCPC. Is there anyone who has been through the process who could tell me about it? If there's something I'm likely to fall short on, knowing about it now means I can pick an elective placement that will cover that area.

Should be very straightforward. It's actually harder for a UK graduate to get accredited to work in Ireland as the UK LD placements aren't generally split. Other than that, the core placements and general structure are very similar so you shouldn't have a problem getting HCPC registration, AFAIK.
