Research participants required. Study exploring clinical psychologists’ perceptions of their role in addressing health inequalities.

What is the study? The study is exploring clinical psychologists’ perceptions of the professions role in addressing health inequalities. For the purpose of this study, ‘health inequalities’ are defined as the unfair, and avoidable, differences in psychological and physical health status between different population groups (Public Health England, 2018).

What does it involve? Participants are asked to attend a 30-minute interview via Zoom.

Who can take part? The study is recruiting people who are;

• Aged 18 and over
• English speaking
• Resident in the UK
• Trainee or qualified Clinical Psychologists
• Employed (or retired from) a role which required the use of your Clinical Psychology qualification e.g. research, teaching, clinical work, healthcare or leadership
• Experienced in NHS work

Who is undertaking the study? The study is being undertaken by Laura Driesen (trainee clinical psychologist) as part of her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology.

Who approved the study? The study was approved by the University of Surrey Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences ethics committee. This included approval for recruitment via the internet.
