Trainee UCL PWP applications Sep 2018 (Feb 2019 start)

Post by astra08 » Thu Sep 27, 2018 1:32 pm

Hello!

I was just wondering who has applied/is planning to apply for the trainee PWP course with UCL? How have you found the application process? I've heard this intake is a lot smaller, so I'm assuming it's a lot more competitive! Does anyone have any experience with this?

:D

Hi!

I am applying - submitted my application on Monday. This is my second time applying - last time I was listed as a reserve, so came very close :( I have also heard February intake is much smaller so even more competitive. Have you applied yet?

Hey!

I'm in a similar position as you! This is also my second time applying, I was on the reserve last time too! I was bumped out when I didn't get the post for the September intake, but I guess it's important not to get too disheartened and keep trying (which is what we're doing so that's great!)

I've already applied as well, I've guessing interviews will be around early November? Which areas did you apply to? :D

That’s exactly right, hopefully the interviews won’t seem as stressful after going through them once already. Fingers crossed for both of us. Interviews are meant to happen between 12th and 23rd of November so still quite a while before I start panicking :D . I applied for Camden and Barnet. Yourself?

Yeh true! It should definitely be a lot easier, some of the questions through me off last time! Oh nice! How come you know the dates of the interviews? I’ve applied for Ealing and Houslow - I applied for these tewo last time so I’m not sure if I’m taking a risk or being smart haha

The interview dates were listed in the job description file! And same, I applied for same placements last time too - they are convienient to get to, let’s hope I make better impression this time. Same regarding questions - I prepared lots of examples of my work and they only asked for one example :?

I applied for the second time after interviewing last intake too! Applied for Lambeth and Wandsworth last time and Lambeth and City and Hackney this time. Just found out I'm interviewing on Tuesday. Thought I would feel more prepared this time but feeling equally nervous!

I Know exactly how you feel, this is my third time applying and third interview on Friday. Not sure what to expect as both interviews I had previously were quite different.

Oooh good luck! I’ve got an interview on the 22nd and I definitely feel just as nervous too. I’m trying to prepare as many questions as possible so we’ll see how it goes this time :) best of luck!

It was with Lambeth :)

It was ok, very similar style so I'm sure you'll be fine. And they were all very nice!

Good luck guys!
