WATS refund

Post by mungle » Fri Oct 21, 2016 9:08 pm

I've had an individual application for a WATs refund for the PWP course accepted (Trust no longer exists). Thought other people might want to know! :D

Hello,
From watching the clinical psych doctorate thread on the tax rebate I've been waiting to see if anyone has success from pwp or even HI training. Can you tell me about more about your situation? Were you employed in a trainee pwp NHS contract? Which uni did you study with? I didn't think it would count as it's not a full time course, in that you're only in uni 2 days a week (or I was anyway).
Can you talk me through the process and steps you took? How long did it take overall?

Thanks alot!

Hmm. I might start to attempt to look into this, I did both PWP and CBT training.
At least I'm not as mad as that one!

RIGHT. I have finally pulled my finger out. As I did both of my courses before 2013, my Trusts (current and previous) will apply/claim on my behalf. They have me on their respective lists, and apparently something will happen at some point. I just called HR/Payroll to ask about their process of sorting it, and they both seemed to know what to do (one more than the other, but hey).
At least I'm not as mad as that one!

Hi Baa

Am I right in thinking your worked in Norfolk? If so would you mind sending me the number of who you contacted so that I can check that I am also on the list?

Thanks

Laura

I'm not sure if she is the right person yet, I'll let you know when I find out if she is or not!

Can anyone explain this 15k rule as I've heard if you earn over this amount your not eligible but clearly trainee PWPs, HITs and Clin Psychs are getting much more above that and some still get refunded but some don't, I'm so confused :s

Hi - just resurrecting this thread after a letter from HMRC rejecting my claim for a NIC and tax rebate. I'm a high intensity, trained in 2008 - 2009. I wondered if any HIs have successfully applied and received a rebate? I would love to hear how you did it!

Same here (as above).

I trained in 2014-2015 as a PWP. Would I be eligible for a refund do you think? Was either of you successful in getting one?

Many thanks :)

I got one from an earlier PWP cohort but now people in the same cohort are being turned down for one.
