I haven't received anything lol
Same. Not further phone calls, no emails... Nothing since I've confirmed. I really want to hand in my notice at work and I don't want to do so until I have a written confirmation from HR! I'm in Newham.

Really? That’s surprising coz usually HR try to get the checks done quickly. Maybe you could call the service? I don’t think UCL have much to do with this process.

Ok as I wrote that I was given my start date! Does anyone know when UCL will be in contact to let us know when we begin there?

I got an email from the manager at the trust a few weeks back just to introduce herself and she gave me a rough start date. But it’s basically going to be the first week of October.

Have you completed all of your checks? I’m still eating on occupational health.

Oh that’s lovely of her! Yeah my start date is October 7th, but wondering if will start at UCL before or after the week introduction at your trust. Yeah had an email about occupational health and have done the identity checks the other week!

Called UCL today, course start date is 7th Oct. Portico will be updated soon and we should receive a welcome email by the end of the week.

Hey, so my DBS came through and on the same day my portico changed/updated-so I think once references and DBS are sorted the course is then informed. The unconditional offer letter was made available online-it states 23rd September on the letter but perhaps that is allowing for enrolment etc if people have been told 7th?

My service said that I don't need to attend before I start on the course-I guess each service is different?

Struggling to work out when best to leave my Current role to be honest...

My portico changed this morning also!

I was unsure - part of me thought do we start at ucl for 2 weeks then we have our induction with our trust on the 7th? As I remember on the phone being told that there’s the training block at ucl when we start. But unsure when that is?

I had very hastily handed in my notice already (too excited!) so I finish early September.

Says 23rd September. Also very confused when to hand my notice in :/

I received my confirmation email today. Quick Q did your trust/organisation ask you to complete an application form as part of your preemployment checks?

Bebuwab - I've not been asked to do an application form but I guess there is still time.

Normally there's an occupational health questionnaire as well!

On the topic of start dates, UCL's clarification email suggested the start date for the course is actually 21st October, and then I guess it depends on which service your with when you are expected to start with them?

Yeah in the conditional offer email from the trust there were different forms to take along to the identity check, the DBS stuff and the OH forms. Once that’s all done plus the reference check, you’ll be given the unconditional contract by the trust. But seen as we are not starting till October I guess they are not in an extreme rush to get that all done ASAP. I’m still waiting on a blood test appointment with OH.
