Working in Australia in Psychology

Post by rachm33 » Sat Apr 15, 2017 10:14 pm

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience or advice about working in mental health / psychology / research in Australia?

I am going into my second year of a research masters in Developmental Neuroscience and I have been thinking about going to Australia after I graduate next year and would really like any information to help me plan this experience so I have listed a few questions below:

-Tips before moving - what should you do before you move?
-How to get a working visa
-Which area to live
-How to find accommodation
-How to find a job related to psychology or research - should you wait until you are out there before you look?
-Is it possible to extend the working visa past one year?

Any help is much appreciated :D
