Hi, I'm new to the forum and first time applying! Please could I join the live chat too? Can I ask how exactly it works? :)

Thanks!

I too have been invited. I would like to be involved in the live chat but am unavailable at this time :( do you know if there is a way to see the transcript for this (or join late if I manage to get back in time!)?

You just have to log in and click on the live chat button at the top at 6 and have the 2015 paper to hand. Should be on Surrey or Salamons website.

I have also received my invitation, do Salomons send out seperate invites (as I have applied for both). My exam is at 9.30am, I live over 2 hours away, I have looked at hotels but the cheapest is £70.. anyone got any advice? Know any cheap B&B's?

Thank you mjb223! However, I have just got a letter saying I am not able to do the test because I do not meet the minimum criteria.. :( I was convinced I did! Apparently I have not demonstrated that I have experience of applying psychological principles to practice - but I have stated that I have experience of formulating with clients, and that I have done both individual therapy and psychoeducational groups - which I thought was definitely applying theory to practice! Did all of you who have been invited give a specific example of a theory you have been applying? Or has anyone heard of something similar and have an idea why this is not meeting the minimum criteria? So gutted!

Thanks!

Wow that is strange. I am assuming they are referring to the personal statement part. I included doing cbt individually and group etc then mindfulness for staff and service users, parenting and social skills group if that is what u mean.
Maybe you can contact them for more information.

Thanks! Maybe I needed to have mentioned specifically that it was CBT I was doing?? That still seems very harsh to me though, to say I don't fulfill the minimum criteria. I contacted them and got through to an admin person that couldn't really say much, so I've emailed them and waiting for a reply, but I doubt they would change their minds

Do they look at your personal statement? I always thought they didn't so did you make it clear in the jobs bit?
