Edinburgh literally just arrived in my inbox with a "No". I hope others had a better outcome!

So after starting on a massive high, I have ended on:

UEA
UCL
Oxford
Edinburgh
.

To be fair, I didn't want Edinburgh, but I wanted them to want me! And UEA was always my first choice, so I have my fingers crossed for the interview next week.

Commiserations to all of the reds, and best of luck to all of the greens!

All the news is in:

Exeter
Birmingham

and as of the last 5 minutes:

Edinburgh
Hertfordshire

Phew, well that was a roller coaster! Will let the bf finish his nap before I break the bad news about Edinburgh :? he's going to be pretty gutted. But I'm pretty excited about Birmingham and Herts.

Edinburgh

Bit gutted because the chances of getting in from one interview seem slim to none, but we'll have to see how it goes! Does anyone know how likely it is to get an interview from a reserve list? This whole process is horrifically stressful!

I'm a little thrown by how upset I feel about my 3 reds. I think once I got that first green, I kind of thought they'd all be similarly impressed with me!

I know we all say that all it takes is 1, but it definitely feels very scary to have everything pinned on that one.

Oxford said they're interviewing 54 people for 17 places, so it's a little over 3 interviewees per place (I'm assuming most will be similar).

This week has felt like one of the longest weeks of my life. First time applying and so so excited to announce my results;
Birmingham
Coventry/Warwick
Leicester

Staffordshire

Even though it's my first time applying, I graduated in 2011 and did an MSc in 2914. Just never felt the time was right before.
Congratulations to all the greens - now to start interview prepping!
And commiserations to all the Reds. Next year will be your year :-).

staffordshire
Lancaster
Teeside[/colour
Edinburgh Reserve List

Mixed feelings. This the 2nd time on the reserve list for Edinburgh (2011) and it did not move then. I am not hopeful. I knew that this would be my last chance given that I will be 45 next Month.

This process is not for the faint hearted. I would like to wish everyone whether you are green, red, orange or brown. I can't recall the other one, the best of luck. You are more than just a colour though it may feel a bit like that at the moment.

Does anyone know roughly how many people are on their reserve list? They said they can't give you your position. 6th course to interview, one can but hope.
This was my frustration last year. I was on the reserve list but didn't find out and I didn't get called for interview unfortunately. But I did prepare the presentation just in case which has paid off as I have it ready for the interview this year, so would definitely recommend preparing just in case! Good luck, i hope it comes through for you
