Hi! Well done, first of all!

Great news for you and reassuring that a short span of time can lead to good progression indeed. I wanted to ask about the trainee CBT role. How did you get onto this? I’m very interested but although I have a teaching background (not SEN) I don’t meet the core profession criteria list to apply for high intensity training Programmes. Would you mind sharing in case I’m missing an alternative route? I have a non-psych BSc, PGCE Secondary Education, Grad Cert (psychology) MSc Child Development (BPS accredited-conversion).
Thanks and well done again!
My understanding is that you need to complete a KSA application if you don't have a core profession: https://www.babcp.com/Accreditation/CBP/KSA.aspx

In my experience, most people go via the PWP route first (which takes up to an additional 2.5 years by the time you've qualified and got the necessary experience), but have seen a couple of people without a core profession get on to HI training directly if they have good relevant experience. Particularly in services that struggle to recruit due to geography.

Lancaster > Lancaster
Leeds
Edinburgh
Trent > Trent (7th reserve)
Updating as I've just heard from Lancaster, absolutely over the moon but don't think it's sunk in yet. I'm still waiting to hear the outcome from Edinburgh but think I will take the place at Lancaster regardless, their whole ethos really fits with me. I will also with withdrawing from the Trent reserve list, I know I'm quite low down but it might help someone, who knows?!

Good luck to all still waiting to hear! :)

I'm still in shock but so so happy. 3rd time applying.

2018:
Birmingham -> Birmingham
Liverpool
Lancaster
Manchester

2019:
Liverpool
Lancaster
Leeds
Sheffield -> Sheffield

2020:
Liverpool
Lancaster
Leeds

Could not be happier to get onto Lancaster, told myself this would be my last year applying. Congrats everyone, it's a long process, keep going! :D

Anyone hear from RHUL today? I was told in my interview that we’d be told either today or next Wednesday so obviously have been feeling well frazzled all day!

I haven't heard either! The constant checking of my emails today didn't help 🤣

Like many others on this forum, I can attest to the ups and downs of this process. Seeing other people share their varied experiences has often helped me, so I'm sharing this in the hope it does the same for someone else.

Really pleased with 2 reserves, and waiting *veryyy patiently for the 12th June! & If it's a no this year- I'm off travelling around the world! Im hoping that applying from a beach in Thailand next year might help with the whole application process! Ha

Good luck 🍀

Second time applying this year.

2019
KCL
UEL

Surrey
Salomons

2020
UEL
Salomons 9th Reserve > Salomons
Hertfordshire
Essex

Beyond surprised that a 9th reserve would turn into a place! I thought I would post it to show that there is hope for those on the reserve lists.

Good luck everyone.

Congratulations to everyone being offered places. I was wondering if people are looking to withdraw from their interview with Kings. I'm 3rd on the reserve list for interview there and this year it has not moved at all, which is really frustrating.
Really feel your pain, I was 2nd reserve for interview and didn't get called. So frustrating to be so close yet so far! Onwards and upwards, going to try and enjoy the summer before applications open again in September :)

2nd time applicant:

2019
Bath
Newcastle
Edinburgh
Glasgow - > Glasgow

2020
UCL
Edinburgh
Glasgow

King's IoPPN

Third time applying, and I promised myself that this would be the last attempt as it was hard going through the same process all over again. I have posted more of a reflective account in relation to this whole application process under a different thread.

2018:
UCL
IOPPN
Royal Holloway

Salomons (sat test)

2019:
UCL
IOPPN
Salomons (sat test)
Hertfordshire

2020:
UCL
IOPPN

Salomons
Surrey (sat test)

Well done to those who got a place, and to those who are still waiting - fingers crossed for you!

Hi Ruby08, first - congratulations! Can I ask what number you were on the reserve lists at the various unis before you were successful (if they told you) :)
