It won't let me quote my original post for some reason so I'll just update (it's my 3rd serious application, 4th if you count my practice run), got a reserve offer and reserve interview last year both didn't materialise, previous year got 1 interview but was unsuccessful after it and no interviews in practice run (no surprise there).

Feeling incredibly fortunate and a just little overwhelmed! I knew the application process was daunting, but don't think anyone could have prepared me for the anxiety involved. Best of luck to everyone! x

Hi all,
This is my second time applying and I have been placed on the reserve for Leicester(which feels promising but also overwhelming uncertain). I was wondering if anyone here has heard anything from Leicester, or heard about any movement on the Leicester reserve list?
On a side note, I wanted to offer a massive congratulations to everyone who has been offered a place!

Leeds -number 20- update all spaces filled, think it only moved 2 overall
I had told myself this would be my last application regardless and I would do something else but now I don't know how I feel as I cannot afford to take any drop in income right now as the main income earner in my household, let alone go down to something like a bursary to retrain as a nurse, OT, counsellor or social worker. Have decided to just take a break for at least a few months and try to enjoy my life in the present as I'm completely burnt out (I had two significant bereavements and a brief gap between AP posts due to a fixed term contract ending during the shortlisting tests and interview period, thankfully I was able to take on some bank HCA/Support work to just about make ends meet). I don't need to decide what to do just yet and if I do re-apply (or pursue a different career) I know what I need to work on- my confidence in interviews and managing my anxiety so my mind doesn't go blank and I can articulate my answers more effectively (this is consistently my feedback from reserve offers and unsuccessful interviews and not just for the DClin, for AP and RA interviews too).

Congratulations to everyone who got a place this year and to those who didn't- it's just one part of your life, not the be all and end all, be kind to yourself :)

Feeling a strange sense of relief to hear back after the deadline even if it isn't the positive outcome I was hoping for.

Frustratingly, UEA are declining to give feedback despite stipulating that reserve list candidates may be contacted for feedback after the process. I've queried and will await a response.

Congratulations to those who gained a place this year, and for those that were not successful... as I alluded to last year... It's just an application and by no means the be all and end all!

Currently reviewing my options and alternative routes to career progression. Would be helpful to have some feedback to make an informed decision about where to look to improve, but I should know better than to expect the process to be that easy... :D
