Hello people! Following the usual tradition (and schizometric's post here),

  • Red for no interview
    Green for interview
    Orange for reserve list interview
    Blue for offered place
    Cyan for reserve list place
    Brown for interview but no place

Use regular black text to show a course which you have applied to, but haven't heard from yet (as the deadline for notification of interviews isn't until 15th March 2010). Once you get any more news, simply re-post your updates (with new colours) on this thread! :D

P.S: If you're not sure how to use coloured text, escapee's post here tells you how to do fancy things with your posts...

Hi Elsie- many thanks for your post-- here we go again!!

I gather the outcome from the pre-interview testing does not come into this (sorry if I'm being thick here!)? :wink:

I really hope I can achieve something this year- ie not all reds!!

Here's mine so far (in order of preference) .......

Presumably the outcome of pre-interview testing would be that you get an interview or you don't so you would just go to red or green for that course. I guess as there is over a month before courses even have to let you know about interviews there's time to iron out any technicalities about this.

Only my opinion, but......only a few courses have pre-interview screening tests, and so perhaps having a separate colour wouldn't really work, as the majority of people wouldn't be able to use it and it might be confusing.

In effect, being invited to the pre-interview screen is not much different to not having heard from a course, as what it implies is the candidate meets the bare minimum criteria for consideration, which most applicants should in any case.

If someone has heard they have not been invited to pre-interview screening, then they could change the status of that course to red as they have no interview, but I think it is uneccessary to have a colour for pre-interview screening. Others, however, may disagree.

First year I'll be able to reply to this thread... most likely in a lot of red. In alphabetical order:
  • - Bangor
    - Lancaster (invited for 2nd round online test but messed that one up somehow! )
    - Leeds
    - Liverpool

Ugh, putting 4 reds on as depressed me entirely.

UEA (medium)
Exeter (they won't tell)

Third time (and last) time applying. First time was 4 rejections and I had one interview which also led to the reserve list (medium/low) last year. I had three interviews this year so I had a good chance but wasn't good enough :(

I hope that people decide to turn down their places at these Uni's but its going to be a tough month ahead.

If not, after practising lots of loving-kindness meditation, I will peel myself off the floor and find some new mountain to climb.

this is my third year..just missed a place by two on the reserve list last year...been revising the academic side since jan to really be prepared

here goes in order of preference:

So, no colours yet! This is my second time applying (although first attempt borderlining realism and not outright self-flagellation!). In order of preference:

Coventry & Warwick
Shrops & Staffs
Leicester - invited to computer test :idea:

Statistically I seem to have little hope of getting in, but I really hope I can at least get an interview for experience!
