1 year fixed term contract
£17,706 Pro rata
21 Hours – 3 days per week

The GNRC is a post acute/community rehabilitation centre for individuals with acquired brain injuries and other neurological condition.

The Goole Neuro-Rehabilitation Centre (GNRC) is looking for a part time, fixed term assistant psychologist. The GNRC is a post acute/community rehabilitation centre for individuals with acquired brain injuries and other neurological condition. The job duties will include organization and maintenance of a clinical database for service users, documentation and organization of behavioural data, performing individual psychological and neuropsychological testing, working with groups of service users with acquired neurological conditions, organizing a behavioural rehabilitation programme for all service users, and group and individual work with service users under supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.

Working under the direct supervision of a trained Clinical Psychologist, the post holder will support and extend the work of the supervising Psychologist.

The post is intended to provide the relevant experience for those seeking admission to a recognized training course in clinical psychology. The precise duties will involve:

a) Some forms of cognitive behavioural therapy
b) Behaviour observation recordings and data collection
c) Helping in the preparation of reports and behaviour guidelines
d) Participation in the administration of behaviour procedures as part of rehabilitation programmes
e) Psychological and neuropsychological testing
f) Case management of individual service users
g) Programme management for all service users

You will be required to demonstrate such skills as:

BSc (Hons) Psychology 2:1 minimum
Computer literate (word processing, excel).
Good written communication skills.
Being able to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Ability to work with an appropriate level of autonomy with agreed boundaries directed by supervising psychologist.
