Assistant Psychologist - Guernsey

Post by drjamesmurray » Wed Sep 25, 2013 1:21 pm

The Health and Social Services Department in Guernsey is looking to appoint an assistant psychologist to a one year fixed term full time position.
Candidates must have a 2:1 or above degree in psychology, with graduate basis for registration with the BPS.
Crucially, candidates must also have rights to reside in Guernsey to apply: if you are unsure about this, please refer to http://www.gov.gg/amiqualified.

There are two assistant psychologist positions in Guernsey (one of which is already filled); post holders work across a wide range of psychology services, including adult mental health, CAMHS, neuropsychology, physical health, and learning disability. Assistant psychologists are supervised by qualified clinical or counselling psychologists and have the opportunity to carry out audit and direct clinical work with clients, as well as participate in continuing professional development. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable, and interested in pursuing a career in psychology.

Anyone interested who fulfills the criteria laid out above should contact Dr James Murray, head of psychology, on 01481 701441 or jmurray@hssd.gov.gg
