Can you confirm the supervisor is HCPC registered please.

Is this a support worker type post for a psychology graduate rather than an AP post? £8 per hour with the person being self-employed and getting no benefits is quite a low wage (NHS AP salary is £9.66/hour but covers leave and sickness, thus is equivalent to £11.16/hour as a contractor). The way you contract it might also be considered disguised employment (tax avoidance) if the business sets the hours and locations in which the contractor has to work. Check this page to define whether someone is an employee or self-employed.

Hi - yes the supervisor is HCPC registered. This is a great opportunity and in an independent setting. Please note that this is not an independent role so tax can be avoided but to enable flexibility for people who wish to gain experience needed and with financial remuneration. We are implementing a psychology led model and as such psychology assistants and therapy assistants work alongside support workers, mental health nurses, OT and social work.
The hourly rate is more than several other psychology assistant roles and extensive training and support is provided.
