Salary £18,060 - Full time (35 hours per week)
Twelve month fixed term contract

We are currently recruiting for an assistant psychologist at The Woodmill, which provides residential rehabilitation for adults with an acquired brain injury.

The post involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team, under the supervision of clinical psychologists, conducting structured neuropsychological and behavioural assessments and devising, implementing and evaluating treatment and management programmes. There is also a key role in data management, collection, input and analysis.

The postholder will work directly with service users, both on an individual and group level. There is also opportunity for joint-working and observation with other colleagues in the team A neurobehavioural model is followed with an emphasis on social rehabilitation.

Applicants are expected to hold a BPS approved degree in Psychology (upper second or first class) and be working towards gaining a place on a doctoral programme in Clinical Psychology.

Experience of working with challenging behaviour would be an advantage as would experience of neuropsychological assessment.

The successful candidate would need to have excellent organisational, interpersonal and team working skills, be able to manage his / her own time, be self-motivated and flexible. Good IT skills are essential. A full driving licence is advantageous.
